While it seems like we haven’t accomplished a whole lot this summer, it is surprising how quickly time has passed. With only three more weeks of summer to go, I will have to admit that I am really sad that it is almost over. I know that we are weird parents in some respects as we love having our kids at home and summer is really the easiest time of year for us. We get along smoothly, no fighting, and our home is about as harmonious as it ever is.
But when school is on, things change dramatically. There is fighting every morning trying to get the kids up from bed, and it is a challenge to get everyone out the door on time despite us getting everything ready the night before. The school year for us is very stressful, and I don’t ever look forward to it.
So, we will have to enjoy what little of summer is left – three weeks from now, we will be pulling our hair out.
